The Feminist Press is now in the Lending Library!

October 12, 2012
The Feminist Press, an independent non-profit literary publisher located in New York City that promotes freedom of expression and social justice, recently made a donation of books to our lending library. You know we have a lending library, right? The best part is the variety of titles!
There’s pulpy, burlesquey, queer and feminist fiction:

There are riveting memoirs:

And we all know your secret pleasure is feminist cultural analysis and activist non-fiction:

Founded in 1970, The Feminist Press began by rescuing “lost” works by writers such as Zora Neale Hurston and Charlotte Perkins Gilman and established its publishing progam with books by American writers of diverse racial and class backgrounds. The Press prides itself on publishing the work of exciting  authors who share an activist spirit and  belief in choice and equality.
You can check out these books and many, many others at In Other Words. We’re open from noon-7PM Tuesday – Saturday, and any staffer would be happy to help you get signed up for our lovely lending library.
