Amy Andrews’ Feminist Bookstore Tour
Barely a dozen independent feminist bookstores still exist in North America.
Hitting the road this fall, Amy Andrews is performing shows at feminist bookstores in 9 states, and 2 countries.
The purpose of these concerts is to raise funds and awareness for the continent’s few remaining feminist bookstores and community centers. 100% of the money made on admission to these shows will directly benefit these bookstores and community centers.
Amy has been to Austin, Chicago, Atlanta, Toledo, and Toronto, ON. Please join Amy at In Other Words as her tour greets the west coast on Saturday, November 3rd at 6 pm!
Amy Andrews may have abandoned her path to professional classical vocalist, but not her dream of a life in music.
Two years ago, the Baltimore-native left the mid-Atlantic with her eyes fixed on carving a spot for herself in Atlanta’s dynamic folk scene, as a singer-songwriter.
Georgia has been good to her – warmly welcoming her music into listening rooms and festivals alike, describing her sound as “beautifully melancholy,” “heartbreakingly honest,” “the perfect marriage of Alison Krauss purity and Patty Griffin soul.” Ever the traveling musician, Amy’s schedule is full of performances outside of the South, as well. Recent tours have included the Pacific Northwest, Canada, and Alaska, with concerts and festivals in big cities, and long-forgotten gold rush towns.
