January at In Other Words

Happy 2014 from your favorite feminist community center! There are lots of great happenings this month, so mark your calendars now and join us for:

  • On Tuesdays this month –  She Bop is donating 10% of their proceeds to In Other Words. Come on out and get some toys for yourself and donate to our space at the same time!
  • Friday, January 10th at 6 pm – The 7th Anniversary of Dirty Queer! There will be some awesome door prizes and treats at this x-rated open mic, so come early to grab a seat!
  • Saturday, January 11th at 6 pm – Sistah Sinema presents Futuristic Queerness, a selection of futuristic shorts with queer women of color who are empowered by developments in technology as they continue to fight the beautiful struggle.
  • Tuesday, January 14th at 7 pm – The Happy Hysteria Health Collective  presents How to Have the Best Pap of Your Life – Because spreading your legs should be nothing less than completely consensual & satisfying!
  • Saturday, January 18th at 12 pm – The Natural Diabetes Support Presentation is designed to introduce a weight neutral, natural approach to treating type 2 diabetes by naturopathic doctor, DeAun Nelson.
  • Wednesday, January 22nd at 7 pm – Head down to the Clinton Street Theater for In Other Words Presents Reel Feminism. This month’s film: These Girls (El-Banate Dol) a film by Egyptian filmmaker Tahani Rached.
