Queer Craft Club: January 2015

January 3, 2015

WELCOME to Queer Craft Club night!

When:  Sunday January 4, 2015 at 7PM.

Where:  In Other Words Feminist Community Center

What:  Bring a craft project (or two), come hang out, and get some work done with other crafty queers. We’ll have some snacks, community craft supplies, and a few other surprises!

Queer Craft Club!

Skillshare:  introduction to book-binding!

Suggested sliding scale donation starting at $2-$5 to go towards supporting In Other Words for use of the space, but nobody is turned away for lack of funds.

The organizers of this event are hoping to turn Queer Craft Club into a regular event, so please RSVP to the Facebook event and let them know if you’re interested in attending future events, even if you can’t make this one!

The event will be a scent/fragrance free environment. This means folks need to refrain from wearing products with scent and fragrance including: soap, body wash, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, hair product, cologne and perfume.

This will be an anti-racist event. Please do not bring any culturally appropriative craft projects. If you are in doubt, contact the event organizers. This will also be an anti-oppression space. This includes respecting people’s gender pronouns and identities, and striving to create access for all bodies and abilities.

In Other Words Feminist Community Center is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that is entirely run by volunteers and survives from individual financial gifts from generous feminists like you!
