December 7th – Holiday Open House

In Other Words Feminist Community Center would like to help you prepare for and celebrate the holiday season by hosting an open house on Wednesday, December 7, 2011, from 5-9 pm. Bring your family and friends, come in out of the cold and enjoy warm drinks and snacks with the folks who make In Other Words tick. Volunteers, members of the board of directors, and the Interim Executive Director will be on hand to chat and answer any questions you might have about Portland’s feminist community center.

While you’re in the center, take a minute to admire our new lending library. It’s a fantastic community resource, and we’re adding new titles all the time. You’ll also be able to peruse our book store and local artist consignment wares for unique, feminist holiday gifts. There’s a lot of really cool stuff, and we’re excited to have this opportunity to show it off!

This is a great opportunity to get to know us a little better and hear about ways to have your voice heard and your needs addressed in our ongoing transition. What a wonderful time to mingle with fellow feminists and learn about our exciting expansion into a feminist community center, including the lending library, feminist archives, and educational programming!
